It's an AMD Athlon II x3 440

no I was thinking of swapping the 3 core for the 1090t but that's not going to work. I had the 3 core in when the pc turned off last week. I'm fairly sure it's a tri core athlon. So now I'm back to the 3 core and I'm using the heatsink that came with the 1090t to be sure that the liquid cooling system wasn't faulty. But I am still getting the same result, a quick shot of power and then back to nothing.

I've been running it with that processor just fine for almost a year. I'm not adding any new hardware here except I'm replacing the coolant system.

still a no go amd athlon x3 triple core black edition sitting at 3.2ghz asus m5a97 evo motherboard phenom 6 core 1090t heatsink It will not complete a POST test, I see the CPU led light up then everything turns off. If it's a CPU issue usually the LED light will stay lit.

Hey guys, I'm still troubleshooting the computer. I've swapped cpu's and now there's an issue with the heatsink matching up to the motherboard to be screwed on. It's an amd atx mobo with am3+ socekt and a phenom ii 1090t 6 core processor. The 6 core did work with my old liquid cooler setup previously, but now I'm turning on the pc and seeing it try to turn on and then turn right back off. I think it must be an error with the cpu, or perhaps the motherboard since it will not complete a POST. Sorry for all this inconvenience, but I don't want to hold everyone back with disconnects and fps issues. I'll pop on if you need me but right now count me out for tonight and possibly next week. If I can't figure out what's going on with it I'll be looking into an intel mobo/cpu bundle and have that swapped in by July. I'm in a break for work right now and I'll be going back in two weeks, but bills and living trump computer parts and repair for the next two to four weeks. Best of luck, Lumi ooop hold that thought I just found my adapters. let me try swapping out the liquid cooler for the heatsink.

Hello all, As per my message last week I have bought a car. I am currently in the process of cleaning the parts and giving it a tune up in my wife's friend's garage. I don't think it will be all back together by the time raid starts, but I will try and make it home and be online tonight. I will definitely 100% be able to make it tomorrow. I figured I would take care of all this today, as I am busy the rest of the week and I most definitely did not want to miss progression night. I apologize for my inconsistency the past couple of weeks. A lot has been going on. I got married, bought a new car, etc. Things will smooth out after this week. In late August I will be apartment shopping but I doubt that will interfere with my raiding schedule. See you all tonight hopefully!

Hello all, I am planning on being on time 7:30pm to raid night tomorrow. I am however going to look at a car that is about an hour away. I plan to be there at 4:30 and be home by 630-7pm. I will defnitely be on by 8. Unless I'm tossing my new h22 4th gen prelude around like a rag doll across the south jersey back roads jk, i'll be there.

Hello everyone! Tuesday will be my last day as a trial, and unfortunately on Wednesday I will be unable to attend. I have the best reason of any though - my marriage ceremony will be taking place that evening. The party and reception are planned for Saturday, but Wednesday is the official ceremony with only a handful of witnesses. I will be about 50 minutes away from my computer, but, if at all possible I will log on with my wife's laptop. Odds are we're going to want to spend some quality time, though. I apologize for the inconvenience, and it saddens me that it is a progression night I have to miss.
